The discussion will surround issues and ideas that come up during real-time skype commentary on live performance and video showings of work generated during the residency.
Meghan Flanigan and Fergus Byrne will perform a drawing duet that traverses wall and floor in an exploration of mark making through full-bodied movement.
Fergus Byrne and Saul Melman will show a work-in-progress video that simultaneouly combines storytelling, drawing and competition through the medium of embroidery.

Genesis Project is an artist’s residency catering to body-based artists who identify as working between disciplines and/or seek to integrate other disciplines into their performance practice through open-source collaboration and horizontal exchange of knowledge, as defined by the resident artists. Genesis Project has occupied the gallery space at Basekamp for the month of August.
