The Philadelphia Lendry
Hi everyone,
This Tuesday we’ll be talking with Nicole Restaino and Aislinn Pentecost-Farren of The Philadelphia Lendry.
The Philadelphia Lendry is an experimental membership library growing a new kind of public collection. We employ a creative lending system. Members contribute to and borrow from an expanding collection of art, material objects, cultural ephemera, creative services and assorted oddities. The Lendry is created and curated by members. Members join the Philadelphia Lendry by contributing a work of art, object, creative service or other item to the collection. Anyone may become a contributing member to the Philadelphia Lendry. By contributing to the Lendry, members obtain borrowing privileges.
The Lendry accepts any object, work of art, etc. that offers an experience you’d like to share with other members. You might donate a photo, a plant, a novel, a set of instructions to be followed, a music recording, a notebook, or even a repeating performance or service.
